New addresses for theory test centres confirmed

The new addresses of 7 theory test centres have now been confirmed.

Changes to the theory test service

As part of the roll out of DVSA’s new theory test service, the locations of many theory test centres are changing.

When we wrote to you on 19 July we were not able to confirm the location of some of the new test centres.

We can now confirm a further 7 new theory test centre locations.

Region A (Scotland and the North)

The new test centre in Crianlarich will be located at:

  • Ground Floor, Crianlarich Village Hall, Main Street, Crianlarich, FK20 8QN.

The new test centre in Galashiels will be located at:

  • Main Hall, Hope Central, 1-3 Overhaugh Street, Galashiels, TD1 1DL.

The new test centre in Penrith will be located at:

  • Ground Floor, Main Hall, Friends Meeting House, Meeting House Lane, Penrith, CA11 7TR.

The new test centre in Stirling will be located at:

  • Suite 2, Part of Unit 1, Ground Floor, Lomond Court, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4TU.

Region C (East Midlands and South East)

The new test centre in Boston will be located at:

  • Ground Floor, 17a Wide Bargate, Boston, PE21 6SR.

The new test centre in Chelmsford will be located at:

  • Suite 4, Second Floor, Saxon House, 27 Duke Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1HT.

The new test centre in Southwark will be located at:

  • Second Floor (South), Manor House, 224-236 Walworth Road, Walworth, SE17 1JE.

Opening dates and booking

These new centres will be open from 6 September 2021 and tests can be booked online from 8am today at GOV.UK for this date onwards.

If your pupils need a test before this date they can find other theory test centres in their local area by looking on the ‘find your nearest’ theory test page on GOV.UK
