We’re delighted to welcome Pauline Reeves OBE, Director of Driver Services at DVSA, and Amanda Lane, Deputy Chief Driving Examiner and Head of Driver Testing and Training Policy at DVSA, offering members the opportunity to hear directly from senior DVSA representatives about the developments, challenges and decisions affecting driving instructors across the UK. The programme will also feature Neil Wightman who will explore the important topic of safeguarding and provide practical guidance to help instructors better understand their responsibilities and the role they play in creating a safe learning environment. It’s an issue that affects every instructor, regardless of experience, and one where confidence and clarity are invaluable.
Joining him will be Des O’Connor, who will help members understand the vagaries of artificial intelligence. AI is increasingly becoming part of everyday life and business, but what does it actually mean for driving instructors? Des will cut through the noise and provide a thought-provoking look at the opportunities and considerations facing the profession, helping you separate the hype from what really matters.
The programme will also include an industry update with Mike Yeomans & Peter Harvey from MSA GB with an open question time.
