I hope you are all settling getting back to work around the country and starting to enjoy what you do best. You will have by now received an update from DVSA advising you of the new Safe Driving for Life website that has been soft launched: https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/ it’s a collaboration between DVSA, The Stationery Office (TSO) and Sponge Learning. NASP would like to make you aware that, although we have helped to find some volunteer ADIs and their pupils to use the site and give feedback as requested by DVSA we were not aware of the content of the site when it was launched. NASP were expecting to be shown the content before it was released to the public as agreed with DVSA, however DVSA decided not to consult before publication, so we can assure you, what you see has not been influenced in any way by NASP, however DVSA have since publication, agreed to NASP contributing to updating the content before the full launch of the website to the general public in the near future.
Just a quick reminder, we have organised a zoom meeting for Thursday 13th May at 7.30pm with our colleagues from Bikeability doing a short presentation on how we may be able to work together, im also pleased to advise you John Rogers from Disability Driving Instructors has agreed to attend and present around teaching and testing in the sector, both very interesting, if you would like to attend, I need you to email me at email@example.com telling me you would like to attend, we will then send you a joining link nearer the event.
I hope to see you on the night and would like to wish you all a very good Bank Holiday weekend.
