New guidance on the risks of using driving test cancellation finders and apps

DVSA know that some learner drivers are using driving test cancellation finder apps and third-party booking sites to find an earlier driving test. They’ve seen the change in behaviour due to the current high waiting times for driving tests caused by the increase demand. They know that until the waiting times are lower more and more learner drivers.

Keeping learner drivers safe

DVSA does not run, approve or endorse any cancellation finder apps or services.
GOV.UK is the only official driving test booking service. They have today (Monday 12 August) published guidance on the Ready to Pass? website to educate learners on the risks of driving cancellation finder services.

This includes guidance on:

Checking what personal data the service or third party app needs understanding what your data will be used for being savvy about prices who to complain to about the misuse of data or hidden charges You can read the full guidance on the risks of using cancellation finders and apps on GOV.UK.
