DVSA update: Make sure you have your say on changes to booking driving tests

There is still time to fill in the call for evidence for your thoughts on changes to the current rules and processes for booking a car driving test.

It should take less than 15 minutes to fill in and closes at 11:59pm on 11 February 2025.

So far more than 7,700 people have shared their views to help shape the future consultation on how booking a car driving test could be improved.

Reviewing these rules for booking driving test is part of a wider plan to reduce driving test waiting times.

DVSA are interested in the views of learner drivers as well, so please share this message with your pupils and encourage them to fill in the call for evidence.

Helping to shape a consultation

All of the responses from the call for evidence for booking driving tests will be analysed and used to develop proposals to improve the rules.Once this work has been done DVSA will run a public consultation on the proposed improved rules and then look to introduce the improved rules, changing the law if necessary.
