DVSA update: Changes to information needed for online payments

From 14 June DVSA will be asking for additional information when taking online payments. This is due to some payment providers asking for additional information to help tackle card fraud.

The additional information requested is the email address and telephone number associated with the card. This will affect anyone making a card payment via the online business service (OBS).

What to do if you have cards saved on OBS

To help speed up payments on OBS you may have saved your card details on the system. If you have, you will need to update the card details to add in the email address and telephone number before you can use the cards.

You can do this by selecting ‘account management’ on the menu, then selecting ‘payment methods’.   To update a card, you will need to enter all the card details, not just the new details.
