DVSA update: Provide official DVSA theory test e-learning for your pupils

As an approved driving instructor (ADI), you know just how important it is for your pupils to learn and understand the rules of the road.

Now it’s easier than ever to help them learn driving theory.

Licences to learn. Discounted.

As an independent ADI or driving school, you can now bulk buy licences for official DVSA car driving e-learning.

You can then give your pupils access to:

  • exclusive study content
  • all official DVSA theory test revision questions
  • 130 interactive hazard perception clips
  • a measure of theory test readiness
  • timed mock theory tests

Because you’re buying in bulk, you’ll make savings compared to buying individual licences.

Lower prices. Permanently yours.

We previously told you that TSO was offering a 50% discount on the normal bulk-buy prices on any licences you bought until 31 March 2024.

We’re happy to confirm that the prices will be permanently held at the discounted rate.

Helping you. Helping your pupils.

Advertise that you provide official DVSA e-learning.

Monitor pupils’ progress and mock theory test results in your account overview.

Help your pupils with the areas you can see they’re struggling with.

 Charge your pupils for access.

Your pupils make a saving compared with buying directly from us.

They learn. You earn.

Because you can charge your pupils for access, you can earn while helping them learn.

Example

Your pupils would normally pay £20 each for a 90-day licence when buying direct from TSO.

However, you pay just £9 per licence (if you buy 26 to 50 licences).

You decide to charge each pupil £18 for access. This means:

  • your pupils save £2 each (10%) on the usual price
  • you make £9 on each licence to cover your time assigning it and monitoring your pupil’s progress

This is just one example of how you could do it. You can choose the model that works best for your business.

If you’re self-employed, you can claim allowable business expenses for any licences you buy.
