DVSA Chief Executive, Beverley Warmington, has published a blog post for driving instructors.
In it, Beverley reflects on what she’s heard from instructors over the last 8 months, including the feedback from last year’s working as an ADI survey.
The blog post also shares:
-Evidence on where driving test waiting times are improving, and where they are not
-Why the booking reforms that were introduced are staying in place, and the difference they’re starting to make
-Changes DVSA are making now, directly because of what you told them, including new guidance on how test availability really works and a new way for vulnerable learners to appoint someone to manage their booking
-DVSA commitment to being more transparent about performance, including publishing data at individual test centre level
DVSA know waiting times have caused real disruption to your businesses and your pupils’ plans, and Beverley’s blog post doesn’t pretend this is fixed.
But it’s a commitment to be clearer with you about the progress being made and where we’re changing our approach as a direct result of your feedback.
